The Hidden Message of Covid

Today I am “branded” as an astrologer; a North Node Astrologer—as if that was all of me. But what I feel most passionately about is animal suffering, and the hidden message of Covid. This virus started in a cruel “wet market” in China, but it’s not all about “Chinese peasants vs us.” We are guilty too of inhumane treatments of animals in slaughter houses throughout our country. The treatment of cows and chickens and pigs is not good—no matter how improved it has become—it’s still a wretched situation where we must tell ourselves that these beings don’t feel pain, isolation, and separation from a natural life. All because we think we must eat meat for protein. Research shows me this is not the Truth.

We love our dogs and cats so much and we know that they feel, and hurt, and purr, and wait for us to come home at the end of the day. They “feel.” Yet we don’t allow ourselves to think that there is a consciousness behind the beautiful brown eyes of the cow. She’s there; and in most cases she lives a life in a concentration camp of sorts. She suffers. We can change the way it is; we can get to the spiritual message of Covid: animal cruelty is no longer acceptable. It sickens us all, and it begins at our dinner table.

The epic Jupiter-Saturn conjunction that's taking place on Dec 21, and the Winter solstice at the same time, along with transiting Mars in Aries squaring Pluto for the last time is speaking of a new beginning for all of us. It will probably be a rough beginning, but the deep lasting effects of these transits is giving us the chance to birth a new way of thinking and being. And for myself, I see it as a very positive new beginning.
